Librarian:
Job Description:
- Generally, Tuesday through Saturday workweek, including 1 evening per week and some Sundays
- Full time positions are 35 hours per week and include full health benefits.
- Annual starting salary: $34,776 ($27,764 as an Intern)
- Requirements:
- Masters Library Science
- Individuals who are currently enrolled in a Masters of Library Science program may apply as an Intern.
Librarian (part-time):
Job Description:
- Two evenings, 5:00 - 9:00pm
and Sunday, 1:00-5:00pm at the Headquarters Library in Flemington.
- Starting salary: $19.11 per hour
- Paid vacation, sick and personal time
- Requirements:
- ALA Masters Degree in Library Science.
- Individuals who are currently enrolled in a Masters of Library Science program may apply as an Intern.
Youth Services Librarian:
Job Description:
- Generally, Tuesday through Saturday workweek, including 1 evening per week and some Sundays
- Full time positions are 35 hours per week, and include full health benefits.
- Performs all aspects of youth librarianship, including preschool storytimes and reference.
- Annual starting salary: $34,776 ($27,764 as an Intern)

- Masters Library Science

Library Assistant:
Job Description:
- Definition of Position: Under supervision, performs a variety of routine nonprofessional library tasks; does other related duties as required.
- Full time starting salary is $20,020 per annum (will be pro-rated for part time hours).
- Examples of Work:
- Charges and discharges library material to users.
- Computes and collects fines and makes change.
- Answers patron inquiries pertaining to physical location of library material, library hours, offices and personnel, and availability and reserve of popular or new publications.
- Performs filing or shelving tasks involving the use of the Dewey Decimal Classification System and alphabetical filing systems.
- Knowledge and/or abilities required:
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position.
- License: May be required to possess a valid driver's license.
