Another week has passed and I am still home and I hope you are as well. What have you been doing to keep busy? Right now I am listening to a fascinating podcast Astonishing Legends. The current episode I am listening to is discussing the lost colony of Roanoke. Itís a great podcast if you like the supernatural and true crime mystery. I am also reading The Blackbird Girls by Anne Blankman. Itís a middle grade historical fiction that centers around the disaster at Chernobyl in 1986. Have you watched Tiger King? I have! It was insane and a great distraction from being stuck at home. Share what youíre watching at home by tagging @hclibrary3 on Instagram. If youíre looking for something to do, donít forget the volunteer opportunities that we have right now. Check out the teen volunteer page for that information. Also, we will be having weekly Anime club meetings via Netflix Party. If you are interested in that, please email me, mriou@hclibrary.us. Also, keep an eye out for a weekly book club. Over the course of our time at home we will be reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyleís The Hound of Baskerville, a Sherlock Holmes story. This book can be found online, free at Tumblebooks via www.hclibrary.us. If you have any questions or just want to chat, please email me. Weíre in this together! Stay safe, stay home.

I am currently reading Spellbook of the Lost and Found by Moira Fowley-Doyle. I am STILL working on my same knitting project. And my quarantine co-worker is a beagle-labrador mix named Spencer. He enjoys cuddling while I work and barking at everything that moves past his window. Donít forget to take a picture of what youíre reading and any special projects youíre working on and tag @hclibrary3. Iíd love to see what youíre up to.

Don't forget you can still earn those volunteer hours. We all know this is a perfect time to read. So when you've finished a book email me a book review and you'll earn an hour of volunteer time. mriou@hclibrary.us Happy reading!
